It’s Buddha’s birthday and you can join in the festivities!

Buddha’s Day & Multicultural festival celebrates its 25th anniversary!

If you don’t have plans this weekend…why not head down to Fed Square to take in the free Buddha’s Day & Multicultural Festival that celebrates the birth of Buddha and the diversity of Melbourne!

From this Friday the 14th of May you’ll be treated to an array of traditional Buddhist ceremonies, art, music and cultural performances across two days. You’ll also find the Lumbini Garden Sanctuary, Lotus Flower Sanctuary and a Mindfulness Forest.

Over 40 activities (so much room for activities) will be on display and its expected to attract 80,000+ visitors, including you of course!

Bathing the Buddha

The purpose of the not-for-profit festival is to promote inclusiveness, cultural awareness and cultural understanding. And with international travel seemingly put on hold for what seems like the rest of our lives, this is the perfect way to get your fix on some of the cultures that we often encounter on that thing called a holiday.

And PS, you’ll see some of the worlds biggest bubbles. Just go and you’ll know what we mean. Enjoy!
