Give Back Before You Go Out and Be a Bloody Champion!

This one is so important to us. It falls right into the category of ‘Giving back’, one of the reasons we started doer.

For those that haven’t given blood before, don’t stress, the Red Cross Blood service are some of the friendliest people you’ll meet and make the whole experience smooth and bloody rewarding (yeah we went there). While you need to eligible to donate blood, we encourage that everyone do this at least once and if you can continue to do it regularly, even better.

While donating blood is not a new thing, its often forgotten and the fact that most people can help someone else by doing something so simple really is that special.

To help put a few things in perspective; consider this for one moment; every donation can help saves three lives, the blood you donate can be made into 22 different medical treatments and guess what, it costs nothing (zip, nada, zilch, donuts — mmm donuts)

There are centres located all over Melbourne, so add donating blood to your DO52 list and make no excuses – it might end up being your favourite experience.
