It’s showtime baby!
It’s a balmy night and you can choose to kick back with drink in hand to watch a movie under the stars or head indoors to a dim and small indoor cinema. Yep, lock in option A thanks Eddie.
Two of Melbourne’s most famous independent cinemas have given us a reason to smile by announcing when they will reopen their outdoor cinemas from this seemingly never ending lockdown.
Lido On The Roof and Cameo Outdoor cinemas will open up to the public from Tuesday, October 26 with all things going well. Touch every bit of wood you can find.
And what makes these cinemas worth a visit is their open aired rooftop viewings which give off some proper old school vibes because watching a movie outdoors is always better unless…it’s pissing down. But don’t worry, if a session is cancelled due to Melbourne’s dodgy weather you can always swap the viewing for a future session.
Lido will hook you up with rugs if need be and their rooftop bar kicks off an hour prior to each session for you to whet your thirst.
Cameo Outdoor also have a bar but take it an extra notch with the option for BYO pets. That’s right, you can bring your furry friend along to watch a movie with you but please don’t forget the doggy bags.
Bookings for rooftop screenings at Lido and Cameo are open now so chop chop folks as people will be going ape sh*t post lockdown to get out and about!
You can find Lido On the Roof at 675 Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn and Cameo Outdoor at 1628 Burwood Highway, Belgrave.
