Viva la VIDA…
We’re absolutely clinging to summer here at Doer! And what better way to keep the summer heart beat ticking over (yeah we know it’s technically Autumn) than with a sexy latin fest to get our tequila juices flowing.
The VIDA Latin Summer Festival is swinging into town from April 15-17 and this is one you’re not going to want to miss.
The FREE event at Tom’s Block in Kings Domain Gardens celebrates life at the absolute core. Plenty of dancing, plenty of latin tunes and a whole lot of mouth watering exotic street eats and bevs to get stuck into. Combine this with a cracking line up of DJ’s, hands on workshops and classes and it sounds like a party to us.
Latin America’s vibrant cultures come to life with more than 20 food vendors throwing the flavours of Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela your way. Soak it all up at the beer garden cos it’s important to stay hydrated in the sizzle of summer folks.
Four multicultural hubs will be packed with over 30 DJ’s throughout the fest and local artists and bands will also work their magic.
And because this will get you moving, there will also be a freestyle salsa tournament and outdoor dance classes so you can cut some latino shapes.
Local manufacturers and importers will be showing off Latin American art and to keep the lil’ doers happy there will be face painting, maraca-making workshops, poetry, puppeteers and magic shows. Everyone’s a winner.
