Navigate Melbourne Using Parkour Like a Ledge-nd

With these Beginner classes you’ll come on in leaps and bounds.

For those who don’t know the word “Parkour” comes from the French “parcours,” which literally means, “the way through,” or “the path.” Parkour is the act of moving from point “a” to point “b” using the obstacles in your path to increase your efficiency. Sounds like a fun game, right?

Urban sport practices like parkour allow us to engage with environments in unique ways, and this one is the Melbourne CBD.

These beginner classes from Melbourne In Motion cater for all levels of experience (including none). Just make sure you’re wearing comfortable clothes, a trusty pair of runners and something to hydrate you. You will learn basic skills like landing, vaulting and flow, while developing your ‘parkour vision’ to reimagine how to use and engage with urban spaces.

While parkour is generally free, this is a great introduction to the sport itself and something you can then continue on with by yourself or friends at anytime you please. If you want to learn proper tricks, you might need a few lessons though.
