A doer crew favourite alert! So, we love the outdoors and this rock climbing experience puts the out in outdoors, ok maybe not but its hashtag #nature #outback #freshair etc; you get the point.

You can’t beat real rock climbing. You might have been at one of the fancy indoor rock climbing places, and yeah sure they’re great and have a place in the world, but you can’t beat the real deal. There’s an adrenaline rush that comes with climbing an actual rock face, particularly one that provides a ‘Get out of town!’ view, literally.

In fact, this experience takes place at the Grampians, which has a lot to offer; so much so that people from all over the world travel to enjoy the unique challenge that Gariwerd has to offer. The great thing this the area is full of ‘crags’ (a technical term rockies use for a climbing area), which provides suitable options from Mcdonald’s playground extraordinaire to cliff hanger, Van Damme style; babys from the 90’s know what I’m taking about.

After assessing your climbing ability and experience, on of the experienced climbing guides will select a suitable site for you to get cracking. Don’t worry, you’re climbing and rock face and no experience like this starts until you’ve got your floaties on, wait.. wrong experience. I mean you’ll be taken through a thorough safety brief and then it’s time to scale the vertical realm! (sounds epic right?)

While a little nerve racking to being with, this truly is an amazing experience that provides a challenge, amazing views and a chance to get away from Melbourne and enjoy nature – all with no experience required. Depending on how you’re feeling, the biggest challenge they offer is a 25 meter climb, which believe me – it’s high; Good luck!

It runs for 3 hours and you’ll be talking about how exhilarating it was on your drive home.
