Welcome to A Miracle Constantly Repeated by Patricia Piccinini…
Covid has messed a hell of a lot up not just here in Melbourne but everywhere and so we were gutted when Rising Festival had to put the brakes on many moons (lockdowns) ago back in March.
But thankfully some of the amazing acts and performances are sticking around and you can now visit the mysterious ballroom at Flinders Street Station for an exhibition by legendary artist Patricia Piccinini.
A Miracle Constantly Repeated re-opened on July 29 and will let lucky you back into a ballroom that has been shut off from the public for decades.
The Aussie artist is best known for her super realistic human-animal sculptures and she keeps it coming here, combining sculpture, video, light and sound to bring to life a building that was once home to parties, dances, a nursery and billiard rooms.
The exhibition will run until January 2022 but make sure to book as it will be popular.
PS just remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You’ll see.
