Van Gogh Alive will be opening on September 1st! 

Good old Vincent Van Gogh would be 168 years old right now. But he’s coming back to life to ignite all your senses through THE LUME Melbourne.

Tickets are up for grabs from this Thursday ahead of the official launch on September 1! This is an absolutely epic adventure into art with Australia’s and the Southern Hemisphere’s first permanent, fully immersive digital gallery.

I’ll be honest, I’m not a fein for your traditional art gallery but this is something I’m frothing for. Because Van Gogh Alive makes every surface an animated canvas: floors, walls and guests alike through curated tastes, aromas and a choreographed soundtrack that makes this a multi dimension, 360-degree experience.

It kind of sounds like a petrol head obsessed car review, but the numbers are actually impressive. 150 State of the Art Projectors, erecting moving images 4 storeys tall cover every surface of the 3,000 square metre facility at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Explore, play, dance and marvel while you wine and dine (it makes everything better) in the heart of the gallery.

This is an absolute trip and a half, transcending space and time whilst accompanying the Dutch master on a multi-sensory tour of the Netherlands, Paris, Arles, Saint Rémy and Auvers-sur-Oise. Even better when we can’t actually jump on a plane anytime soon.
