Get cracking on your David Attenborough impressions!
I know what some of you non birders are thinking. As I type this I can almost see you rolling your eyes. But listen, I bet you’ve seen some slower movies that you learnt to appreciate that weren’t all guns blazing, so hear me out on bird watching.
“In order to see birds it is necessary to become a part of the silence”.
Have you ever been in a rainforest and just paid attention to the music of nature? Think Avatar, but real. It’s not until you take a step back and think about it, but birds are bloody underrated and I’m calling it.
Simon from Birding Victoria is your man. Whether you are a first timer or a die hard bird watcher (if so disregard my opening paragraph), you’ll be well looked after on the many different tours Simon operates. Quite often you’ll be sighting well over 80 species in half a day and many, many more if you opt for one of the multi day tours (accommodation and food included) which also take in awesome scenery and a lot of fun with other wildlife along the way.
Many of us love animals. I mean people even have a habit of casually watching their pets and call it Cat or Dog TV. There’s whale watching, so why not birds? Especially with so many species you’ve never even dreamed of!
These tours give you the chance to get back to nature and really appreciate just how beautiful the world can be and how insignificant you/we are (no offence).
You’ll be pleasantly surprised and we think you might just keep the bird watching going at the pub post tour!
