If you love cats, this is for you. If you don’t, give it a try. What’s the worst that could happen? It could be a cat-astrophe…just like my use of puns.

Melbourne has Australia’s first Cat Cafe with the very original name of Cat Cafe Melbourne. A quick google search tells us there is only 63 cat cafes globally, so if you’re a Cat Lady in Melbourne you’re in luck!

Cat Cafe Melbourne offers a unique social experience where customers can play, pat and relax with their friendly cats. You can even have coffee and snacks while inside with the kitties! Their rescue resident cats live at the premises and have everything they need right at their paw-tips.

The cafe is split over two floors of course because cats love to climb, and with a cosy cat lounge on the ground floor where the furry friends hang out. This is where you can hang with some coffee and food but let’s be real, no one is coming here to be a food critic and judge.

Walk-ins are welcome on a first come first served basis but if you really want a seat given the cat lady queue it’s best to book.

What we love is that the Cat Cafe isn’t just a cafe. They’re actively making a difference, part of the do different mantra through looking to provide every kitten with a home with their adoption and re-homing initiatives.

So don’t be a pussy, get down and suss it out. It’s puurfect (sorry not sorry).
