Ride shotgun with Huskies in the Alps!

Winter is here folks and what better way to experience our alpine region than with a pack of huskies leading the way to showcase the pawsome world of dogsledding! This has ‘do different’ written all over it as the team at Howling Huskys take you on a journey through our winter wonderland.

You can take your pick of where to sleigh from Mount Baw Baw to Mount Hotham and Dinner Plain and there’s an experience to suit everyone. But this is all about the friendly doggos right! And if you aren’t a fan of Man’s Best Friend…you’re a weirdo.

Huskies are powerful dogs but don’t expect this to be an adrenaline pumping experience. It’s actually quite a peaceful way to take in the surroundings and you’ll hear nothing but the pitter patter of paws as you slide through the snowy trails.

The shortest ride is about 15 minutes but Howling Huskys even run half day experiences. However, our hot tip is the Summit Sunset Tour where you’ll kick back with some vino or hot chocolate whilst taking in the sunset with your new furry mates.

Of course there’s plenty of time for pats n’ play with the huskies and your musher (your instructor driving the sled like Santa) might even let you have a steer during your ride.

Just remember to give the huskies a 5 star Uber rating in return for a howling good time!
