It’s raining dogs & dogs at the Melbourne Dog Lovers show!

And they’ve fetched some new attractions…

October 22-24 is a weekend you need to put in your calendar if you love dogs. And if you don’t love dogs we think you’re a bit weird but hey, each to their own…

The Melbourne Dog Lovers Show, dubbed the greatest festival in the world dedicated to educating, entertaining and informing dog lovers will hit the Royal Exhibition Building from 9:30am to 5pm daily!

Entry is FREE but with one condition. You may find this strange but you can’t actually bring your dog. That’s because this show is dedicated to dog lovers and imagine the control points that would have to be set up to accommodate over 40,000 attendees and their dogs…let alone the mess when it comes to their business!

But don’t worry, your dog will love you because no doubt you’ll be rocking up at home with plenty of goodies. That’s before they’ll give you a stare down for cheating as you will have encountered up to 1,200 beautiful dogs across the weekend from over 150+ breeds!

Here’s some of the list of attractions you can look forward to:

Splashzone:

Australia’s most talented aquatic dogs launch themselves into a massive 100,000-litre pool in the Black Hawk Dock Dogs.

Vitapet Arena:

This is where you realise you need to up your trick game with your pooch as you witness some extremely skilful and obedient dogs do their thing!

Outdoor Arena:

Watch talented working dogs as they perform in the Sheepdog Speed Trials (with real sheep!) and the Extreme High Jump Showcase.

Main Stage:

Free talks from some of the leading dog and animal experts with tips for a healthier, happier hound.

Ask-A-Groomer-Zone:

Enough said. We’ve all gone to battle trying to get them in the bath.

PETstock Adoption Zone:

We love this. There are so many dogs looking for a fur-ever home and what better way with bucket loads of dog lovers in attendance.
