About this experience

Ready to swap your couch for some killer alpine adventure? The Razorback Walk is calling your name! This isn't your average Sunday stroll—it's a 22-kilometre rollercoaster along a high-altitude ridge, leading you to Mount Feathertop, Victoria's second-highest peak at 1922m.

The Razorback Walk isn't just a hike; it's a rite of passage for thrill-seekers and nature lovers alike. So lace up those boots, grab your gear, and get ready to tackle one of Victoria's most iconic trails. Your Instagram feed will thank you.

What to Expect:

  • Trailhead: Start your journey at Diamantina Hut, just a hop, skip, and a 2.5 km jump from Hotham Village along the Great Alpine Road.
  • The Trek: Brace yourself for a mix of rocky paths and grassy ridges. The trail's exposed nature means Mother Nature can be a bit moody, so keep an eye on the sky.
  • Summit Push: At The Cross, gear up for a 1.5 km ascent to Mount Feathertop's summit. The views? Absolutely worth every huff and puff.

Hot Tips:

  • Best Time to Go: Aim for November to April when the trail is (mostly) snow-free.
  • Gear Up: Pack layers—alpine weather is as unpredictable as your Aunt Marge after a sherry.
  • Stay Hydrated: Water sources are scarce, so channel your inner camel and carry enough H₂O.
