First things, first – book now! Maniax Axe throwing is bloody popular. As in ‘booked out on a Saturday 4-6 weeks in advanced’ popular, and we’re about to tell you why.

We know you’re probably still finding it hard to believe, but yes you can throw axes legally. It’s technically called urban axe throwing and the Giant painted target is, well, your only target, and for good reason. You’ll need to sign a waiver on an axe handle ipad, which is understandable and quite appropriate followed by the formalities.

Coaching, target practice and a safety briefing which you should 110% listen to, unlike an airplane safety demonstration that you’ve seen for the 47th time. This training means you won’t go in blind throwing an axe… which.. yeah never mind.

Now the fun begins, time to pick your axe – There’s the regular session axe (16 inches), league axe (14 inches) and the functionally named Big axe (comically oversized, two-handed throw only).

For those a little nervous about wielding and hurling a sharp weapon through the air at a giant target, don’t stress! We have it on good authority that thens of thousands of people have just missed other people with an axe, lol jk. ZERO axe-ccidents, we repeat ZERO.
