When we say this is Victoria’s largest Christmas lights festival…we aren’t f*cking around. Adventure Park in Geelong have gone all out this year with a casual 2.7 million (yep, million) lights for an insane, magical Christmas.
The fairy tale experience has upped the ante by 700k lights this year and thrown in an expanded walking trail with new rides and activities (so much room for activities…) to boot!
This year, get set to be amazed by the brand new Lunar Lanterns Exhibit complete with oriental lanterns, a 20m long majestic dragon and animals from the zodiac.
Immersive installations are the name of the game with a 25m psychedelic tunnel, a Loch Ness Monster, enormous Angels and a Fantasyland with a 12m bad ass smoke breathing dragon, 8m caterpillars and butterflies to name just a few. Oh and there’s even a lit up life size Formula One Car…as you do!
Ride wise watch out for the popular classic spinning Tea Cups ride (new for this year) alongside the Crazy Coaster, Carousel, Red Baron, Little Buggy Speedway Cars, Wave Swinger and Ferris Wheel.
Lil’ doers will obviously be in heaven but this is the kinda night to light it up even for us older doers with more food & bev options like the pizza bar to keep us smiling.
