You can help raise these pups for a year!
Seeing Eye Dogs and Vision Australia are putting feelers out for puppy carers to look after their ridiculously cute eight-week old pups! Now before you get too excited, this is for the first 12-15 months of their lives so already we can assume you are grappling with how on earth you could ever say your goodbyes.
But just know that you’ll be playing a massive part in raising these little heroes for the crucial role of supporting the vision impaired across Australia.
These are no ordinary dogs, and there’s a few boxes you’ll have to tick to stand a chance at looking after your cute new furry friend.
But don’t worry, you don’t have to be at Cesar Millan type levels of dog training. Quite simply it includes having a secure yard, regularly socialising the pup, conducting basic training, being available for group training and making the commitment to care for them for the full 12-15 months.
If you win the golden ticket and are deemed a suitable choice to welcome the little fluff ball home, you’ll even score a puppy pack with a lead, collar, food and vet care for the full term.
If you currently live in inner Melbourne, South East Melbourne, Bendigo, Geelong and surrounding areas then this could be your lucky day.
This is the absolute definition of doing different and giving back. We have a feeling a few of you will be smashing the apply button pretty quickly because how could you say ‘no’ to that little face!
