Unless you’re in need of a hip op, you really don’t have an excuse not to give (beginners) hip hop lessons a go with the team at Street Dance Studios in Mitcham.

Established in 2012, Street Dance Studios is run by the elite crew ‘Superhoodz’.

They are Australia’s most active Hip Hop Dance crew. Most commonly known as semi-final contestants on Australia’s Got Talent in 2012 and the NBL Melbourne United’s dancers.

You have probably sussed out your moves in front of the mirror a few times and it’s ok, I legit have too (awks). But whether you’re a self confessed pro or a complete newbie, they have classes available for all levels multiple times per week!

Hip Hop is actually an umbrella term that incorporates many styles such as Popping, Locking, Breaking and Freestyle.

Beginners classes will give you an intro into the basics so don’t expect to be mastering flips and cartwheels off the bat. But if that’s your mission you’ll be able to progress quickly. Because Beginners Classes are held three times per week with Hip-Hop Hump Days (Wednesday from 6-7pm), followed by 5-6pm Thursday and 1-2pm on Satdee!

Classes start from $20 for a casual sesh but new students are offered $80 for 5 classes or you can grab a steal at $25 which gives you a seven day trial. Basically deals for days.
